Scope

This policy covers all Single Origin Games published apps, including past, current, and future releases, plus this website (singleorigingames.com). When a future game collects something not described here, this page is updated before that game launches and the new disclosure is logged in the Change log at the bottom.

The short version

We make games. The games don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. They don't read your contacts, photos, or other apps. They use anonymous analytics to understand how players use the game, and they show optional rewarded ads.

That's it. The rest of this page is the long version, written so a human can read it.

Who "we" are

Single Origin Games — a one-person studio based in India. Operating singleorigingames.com and currently publishing:

  • Tycoon Era: Idle Money Empire
  • Fleet Magnate: Transport Tycoon (in testing)

You can reach the developer directly at singleorigingames@gmail.com.

What data we collect

From our games

Our games use the following Google-provided services, each of which collects standard mobile telemetry as documented by Google:

  • Firebase Analytics — anonymous gameplay events (which screens you visit, what businesses you buy, when you watch ads). No personally identifiable information. Used to understand what's working in the game.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — automatic crash reports when something goes wrong. Includes device model and Android version. No personal data.
  • Google AdMob — serves the optional rewarded ads. AdMob uses your device's advertising ID (a resettable identifier you control in Android Settings → Google → Ads) to show relevant ads. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases. Single Origin Games never sees your payment information.
  • Google Play Games Services — used for optional cloud saves and (in some games) sign-in. Only when you explicitly opt in. Both Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate use this for cloud save.

From this website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs IP addresses temporarily for routine security and abuse prevention. The site does not run any analytics scripts, does not set cookies, and does not include third-party trackers.

What we don't collect

  • Your name
  • Your email address (unless you write to us — then we obviously have it)
  • Your phone number
  • Your contacts
  • Your photos, files, or media
  • Your precise location
  • Your microphone or camera data
  • Anything from other apps on your device

How we use the data we collect

Anonymous analytics tell us what's working and what isn't. If a tutorial step has a high drop-off rate, we redesign it. If a business tier is rarely unlocked, we re-tune the economy. The data is aggregated across all players and never tied to you specifically.

Crash reports help us fix bugs. Ad data lets AdMob serve ads. IAP data lets purchases work. That's the full list of uses.

What we never do

  • Sell your data to anyone
  • Share your data with anyone outside the Google services listed above
  • Use your data to track you across other apps or websites
  • Build advertising profiles about you
  • Send you marketing emails (we don't have your email)

Your choices

Opt out of personalized ads

Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization." You can also reset your advertising ID from the same screen to start fresh.

Opt out of analytics and personalized ads

Each game has an in-game surface to manage these choices. The exact label varies:

  • Tycoon Era: Settings → Privacy → Analytics (toggle for analytics collection; crash reports can be disabled in the same place).
  • Fleet Magnate: Settings → Ad preferences. This opens Google's standard consent dialog, where you can grant or revoke consent for personalized ads and analytics together. Available to users in regions where the dialog applies (EU, UK, EEA, Switzerland).

For users in other regions where the consent dialog doesn't apply, you can opt out of ad personalization at the device level: Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization." This is the most reliable way to disable personalized ads regardless of which game you're in.

Remove Ads entirely

If you'd rather not see ads at all, the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase is the cleanest path. One-time purchase, no subscription.

Delete your game data

Three layers of data exist about you, with three deletion paths:

1. Local save on your device. Settings → Reset Progress wipes the local save. This is fully under your control; we have no copy.

2. Cloud save (if you opted into Google Play Cloud Save). Settings → Cloud Save → Delete Cloud Save removes the cloud copy. This is also fully under your control.

3. Anonymous analytics and crash reports. These are stored by Firebase keyed to an anonymous "App Instance ID" — we have no way to identify your data without that ID. To request deletion:

  1. Open the game → Settings → About → look for "Privacy ID" (a long string of characters). Copy it. If you don't see this field, your game version pre-dates this feature — just email us with the info you can provide and we'll work with it.
  2. Email singleorigingames@gmail.com with subject "Data deletion request" and paste the Privacy ID in the body.
  3. We acknowledge within 7 working days and submit the Firebase deletion request within 30 days. Firebase processes deletions within ~72 hours of submission.

After all three steps, no data about you remains in any system we control. AdMob-served ads are tied to your device's Android Advertising ID; you can reset that yourself at any time via Android Settings → Google → Ads.

Region-specific rights

India (DPDPA 2023)

We are a data fiduciary established in India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or completion of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion (erasure) of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity or death
  • File a grievance if your request is not addressed satisfactorily

Grievance Officer: Parthasarathy Sinha, reachable at singleorigingames@gmail.com. We acknowledge receipt of grievances within 7 working days and resolve them within 30 days as required by DPDPA. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

European Union (GDPR)

EU and EEA residents have the rights listed above, plus:

  • Right to data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

The legal basis for processing is your consent (for analytics and personalized ads) and contract performance (for in-app purchases). Consent can be withdrawn at any time from inside each game — see the "Opt out of analytics and personalized ads" section above for the exact in-game path per title.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents may request what categories of personal information we have collected and request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Brazil (LGPD)

Brazilian residents have the rights listed above under the India and EU sections, plus the right to data portability and to file complaints with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD). Our legal basis for processing is your consent for analytics and personalized ads, and contract performance for in-app purchases.

Quebec (Law 25)

Quebec residents have the same rights as EU users above, plus stricter notification requirements in the event of a data breach. We notify affected users and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec within reasonable delay if a confidentiality incident risks serious harm.

South Korea (PIPA)

Korean residents have the rights listed above. Users under 14 require explicit parental consent before personal data is collected. We rely on Google Play's Family Link integration and Google's age-verification flows (including the Play Age Signals API where applicable) to determine and respect this requirement.

Other jurisdictions

If your country has data-protection laws not specifically listed above (for example Canadian PIPEDA, Australian Privacy Act, Japanese APPI, Singapore PDPA, Thailand PDPA, Indonesia UU PDP, or Turkey KVKK), the rights enumerated in the EU section above apply by analogy. We honor any reasonable data-access or deletion request regardless of where you live; reach out via the contact section below.

Cross-border data transfers

Data processed by Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, AdMob, and Google Play Billing flows to Google's global infrastructure, which may include servers outside India and outside your home country. Google acts as the data processor for these flows; Single Origin Games does not transfer data across borders independently. See Google's privacy policy for details on Google's data handling.

Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Our games are not specifically directed at children under 13. They do not require an account, do not request personal information, and serve only Google-mediated rewarded ads through AdMob's standard SDK.

For users whose Google account indicates they are under 13 (Family Link / restricted accounts), AdMob does not serve real ads — the SDK refuses the request, and we deny the in-game reward. This means under-13 players have a fully-functional free game experience without ads.

Data location and retention

Firebase and AdMob store their data in Google's worldwide infrastructure as described in Google's data residency policy. Single Origin Games does not operate any servers of its own.

Anonymous analytics data is retained per Google Analytics 4's default retention (currently 14 months for event data). Crash reports follow Firebase Crashlytics defaults (90 days). You can request deletion at any time by emailing us at the address above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top and document the change. Material changes will be surfaced in-game on the next launch.

Change log

Material changes to this policy are listed here with their effective date. We keep the full history so a user who agreed to an older version can see exactly what changed and when.

2026-06-11 — v1.3

  • Added explicit Brazil (LGPD), Quebec (Law 25), and South Korea (PIPA) sections in preparation for global distribution.
  • Added "Other jurisdictions" catch-all clause covering Canadian PIPEDA, Australian Privacy Act, Japanese APPI, Singapore PDPA, Thailand PDPA, Indonesia UU PDP, and Turkey KVKK.
  • No change to what data is collected; only added jurisdiction-specific rights enumerations.

2026-06-10 — v1.2

  • Corrected the Google Play Games Services entry — it's used by both Tycoon Era AND Fleet Magnate for cloud saves, not Tycoon Era only.
  • Split the "Opt out of analytics" section into per-game paths. Fleet Magnate uses Google's standard consent dialog (Settings → Ad preferences) which manages personalized ads and analytics together; Tycoon Era retains its dedicated Privacy → Analytics toggle.
  • Updated the GDPR consent-withdrawal paragraph to point at the same per-game paths.
  • No change to what data is collected; only accurate descriptions of where the in-game controls live.

2026-06-10 — v1.1

  • Expanded the "Delete your game data" section to describe the three-layer deletion workflow (local save / cloud save / Firebase analytics) and the Privacy ID mechanism for analytics deletion requests.
  • No change to what data is collected; only clarification of the deletion mechanism.

2026-06-10 — v1.0 (initial publication)

  • First publication of this policy as the studio-wide privacy policy covering all Single Origin Games published apps and singleorigingames.com.
